Obituary for Bhikhabhai Patel

Bhikhabhai M. Patel, age 81 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 6, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, surrounded by the love and care of his family.



Bhikhabhai was born August 8, 1936 in Gujarat, India the beloved son of Late Manorhbhai Patel & Chanchadben Patel. Bhikhabhai was a Professor for many years at the VP Science College in India. He was very intelligent, he loved to read and was constantly inspired to learn new things. He enjoyed cricket and political news, in India and in the USA. He was also very involved in his community and a contributor to social causes. Bhikhabhai was a loving and caring husband, son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend.



Bhikhabhai is survived by: two sons, Hemant & daughter-in-law Mita Patel of New Jersey; Hitesh & daughter-in-law Chetna Patel of Bridgeport, CT; daughter, Manisha & son-in-law Jay Patel of Trumbull, CT; two brothers, Arvindbhai & sister-in-law Usha Patel of Florida; Raskibhai & sister-in-law Sobhnaben Patel of India; seven grandchildren, Dipali, Roshni, Raj, Nirali, Sunny, Mansi, Krupa Patel and a host of extended family and friend who will cherish his memory.
